Heritage rail trail
Heritage Rail Trail Information boards designed by volunteers from the Yorkshire Coast Community Rail Partnership are displayed on each station on the line.
These boards show a map of the line and a timeline of its history together with some old photographs, as shown in the image on the left.
A Heritage Trail leaflet has also been written by the volunteers and this can be picked up at a station or downloaded here by clicking on the image below.

We will be updating these boards and leaflets in 2024 with the help of the North Eastern Railway Association.

The North Eastern Railway Association is a registered charity run by volunteers.
Their aim is to educate the public in the history of railways.
