Beverley is a historic market town in East Yorkshire full of shops and attractions. The town is known for its magnificent Minster which is one of the largest parish churches in the UK. It is larger than many English cathedrals and is regarded as a Gothic masterpiece. Visit the shrine of St John or take a roof tour and see the treadmill crane high up in the tower.
Some of the best views of the Minster can be seen from the train as it approaches from the South.
Beverley is surrounded by four large pastures. The largest and most popular is Beverley Westwood which consists of 500 acres of common pasture land and woodland and contains a golf course and race course.
Beverley market is held on Wednesdays and Saturdays and the town centre has a good variety of shops and restaurants.

Beverley Festival of Christmas takes place every year in December and attracts thousands of visitors. The magical Christmas wonderland has over 120 stalls plus fairground rides, entertainment and reindeer.
Beverley Racecourse has been part of the town for over 300 years and still attracts thousands of visitors each year to its many fixtures. Many people travel to the races by train and walk to the race course or use the shuttle bus.
Beverley Flemingate Centre opened in 2015 and combines a host of big named stores with restaurants and leisure including a 6 screen cinema. Various events are held at the cenntre throughout the year and it is very close to the Railway station.
