Hutton Cranswick station serves the two villages of Hutton and Cranswick which are collectively known as Hutton Cranswick. Cranswick claims to have the largest village green in the East Riding, and it forms the focal point of the village and contains a pond and a well equipped childrens play area. Hutton has St Peter’s Church which is set in very attractive surroundings. The sports ground and tennis courts are also in Hutton. The villages have an active community and host many events throughout the year.

Cranswick Farm Shop is a family business specialising in locally sourced produce. The café serves a wide range of food and snacks and they also offer a takeaway service.

 

Monthly Craft and Produce markets are held at Foreman’s Garage showrooms which are opposite the Railway station. The venue also hosts many other events throughout the year such as Antique Fairs and Model Railway Shows and is ideally situated for visitors arriving by rail.

 

The large village green is an ideal place for a picnic and the adventure playground is very popular with families. Feed the ducks on the pond or gather conkers from the many horse chestnut trees in Autumn.
