Since being crowned the City of Culture in 2017, Hull has become a popular destination for travellers eager to discover more about the city’s heritage and all that it has to offer.
Hull is a Maritime city situated on the rivers Humber and Hull which owes its origins to the sea and fishing industry as well as having been a military supply port in the past. Its Maritime heritage is evident in its many museums and galleries and especially in the Fruit Market area around the beautiful marina. This area has experienced much cultural growth and investment in recent years and is now the place to go to eat out.
The city centre has some stunning architecture and several good shopping areas. Hull has excellent rail connections, with direct services from London, Sheffield, Leeds, Scarborough Halifax and York.

The Deep is Hull’s award winning aquarium and is home to a vast array of incredible marine life including sharks, penguins, turtles, stingrays, jellyfish and sawfish.
Hull fair is one of the largest travelling fairs in Europe, with over 250 rides and an array of attractions for all the family. It comes to Walton Street in Hull every October.
There are some amazing museums and galleries in Hull City Centre.

Discover Hull’s Maritime history or travel back in time in the Streetlife museum and experience some Victorian street scenes and transport history. Hull has museums for all ages and interests and best of all they are all free.
Hull Fruit market near the marina was formerly a bustling fruit trading hub but is now transformed into a vibrant cultural hotspot. It has art galleries in old warehouses, chic boutiques, and a tantalizing food and drink scene.
