Nafferton is a pretty village situated three miles from Driffield and is served by an hourly train service in both directions.

The large Mere at the heart of the village is a former Mill pond and is fed by natural springs. It is also known as the Beck and in the past used to power a large mill.
Nafferton has a thriving community, a village shop and a very well equipped and well used recreation ground and children’s play area.

Regular garage sales and coffee mornings are held in the village as well as some popular annual festivals which bring people in from far and wide.

Nafferton Scarecrow Festival is held every year and has grown into a very popular occasion with much of the village taking part in the activities and people travelling from the surrounding area to do the Scarecrow trails.
The Mustard Seed café is held every Monday morning at the Methodist church schoolroom. It serves delicious home made food and is a popular place for people to meet.
Nafferton Sports and Recreation Club is a thriving hub of activity all year round. Several sports teams have their homes there and there are good facilities for all to use such as tennis courts and playing fields. The club house hosts many groups and events throughout the year.
